A four-day workshop in the basic theory and practice of Zen Shiatsu. It includes 12 hours of teaching and 12 hours of guided practice. A maximum of six (6) participants are accepted per workshop. An extra 10 hours of home assignment is required to complete within six months after the workshop for the issue of certificate.
To introduce participants to the basic concepts and techniques of Zen Shiatsu and to teach a one-hour full body Shiatsu routine. Through training, we also hope to recruit participants for part-time and full-time practice in our centre.
This is a basic introductory course. No massage or energy work background is required. Learning shiatsu takes a good deal of practice however, and participants should be highly motivated to meet with each other and study outside training hours.

Bill Deng is a director and co-founder of Meridians. He completed his basic Shiatsu training in 2006 with renowned British practitioner Graham Crisp. In 2008 and 2014, he underwent further training in Tokyo with Master Susumu Kimura at the Kimura Shiatsu Institute. He also completed a year-long distance learning course in Shiatsu theory with the Open College in the UK.
Oran Kivity has been practising acupuncture for nearly thirty years. A former lecturer at University of Westminster UK, he will be teaching the theoretical aspects of the workshop.

Total training fee: RM1500. Payment should be made in advance on registration.
On completion of training, Meridians will offer suitable participants the opportunity to join our team by practising Shiatsu at the venue as a junior practitioner.
